What's with the Sunflower look ?

We choose a sunflower signature for Kurt's website for a few reasons, lets have a look at the meaning and history of the Sunflower. Sunflowers or Helianthos derives from two Greek words Helios meaning Sun and Anthos meaning flower. In French it is known as Tournesol - meaning turn with the Sun.

In flower meanings the Sunflower represents hope. It is hope that keeps us all moving towards the future. I am sure Kurt would want all of us to continue to live in joy and hope.

The legend of Helios the Greek Sun God tells of him being drowned by the Titans his uncles, then they raised him to the sky to become the Sun. Clytie his beloved, died as a result of her grieving, it was said she was 'rooted' in her grief and thus followed Helios each day as he made his daily journey throughout the sky.

One can't help but smile when presented with a Sunflower it is a sunny happy flower which spreads happiness to whomever may be lucky enough to receive one. With that in mind the Sunflower was the perfect signature for Kurt, as he radiated goodness, much like the Sunflower does.
