Here is a space dedicated to the work of grief, a gentle warm space where we can all explore, learn and grow from the experience of grief. I would like to begin with this quote, from Dr Elisabeth Kubler- Ross. " The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen." In life many things are not certain, but one thing that is sooner or later we must face the loss of someone very dear to us and our family, volumes of books have been written, 'grief experts' are a plenty, self help books cram the shelves of your local library. Grief is not new to mankind, in the centuries that have unfolded perhaps the only remnant in common is that of a broken heart. A broken heart is a heart able to receive love, we have all used the term, when referring to love, " my heart aches for you !" or he/ she 'broke my heart" When we grieve our heart is heavy and is indeed breaking, we may run away to 'lick our wounds' , we may find solace in 'being', we may cry day after day. It is my wish to help our broken hearts, by offering inspirational words, from others who also share the journey, together with you I am sure the energy shared will heal and join us in a loving light.
