' A WORD ' FROM MUM

Hi this is Deborah writing and I extend to you a very warm welcome to Kurt's memorial page. This is a task no parent should ever have to perform as it is not the natural course for children to die before their parents.

As it happens, Drew and I now travel this path a second time, our first being with our only daughter Tahlia Rose ( American Indian name meaning 'babbling brook of waters') who was born with a condition known medically as Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome or "Ondines curse" Tahlia Rose lived for 10 days and her big brother Kurt was there for not only her birth but when she died in hospital.

This site is dedicated to Kurt as you know, so lets begin at the beginning and then together you can join us in celebrating Kurt's life.

Kurt was born on 27th April 1983, for those astrologically inclined that means he was born when the Sun was in Taurus and the Moon in Libra, he has an Aquarian ascendant, what does all that mean ? I hear you scream, well suffice to say he was extremely good looking with a beautiful nature ! now who says astrology is a load of bull ....... pardon the pun :).

I always investigate name meanings, and the name Kurt is derived from the German name Conrad meaning 'bold' 'counsel' this was the famous name of a 10th Century bishop from Switzerland. It is also borne by several kings of Germany.
