Empty hopes

empty dreams

for the future

find me always when I'm alone

familiarity follows me

trying to reach out to a closed mind

my mind

I want to think of only what is safe

to do so.

fear follows me

trying to befriend my mind

my mind !

I shut it out like the winter draft

slamming behind me the door of truth !!

clarity eludes me

simple orderly operations

make me blush with

embarrassment

my mind

has let me down

have they taken

everything ?

Lord God, angels of mercy

take this pain to the dumping ground

take my thoughts

and make order of them

please let me be as I could have been

please save me from the dark

keep me only in the light

in thy Light
