Early Morning Mourning

Another day without you has begun

The moon and darkness

give way to the sun

Even the season is changing

as I watch the early dew

on your car drip down

The hot summer will soon

bid goodbye

and Autumn will visit

for awhile

Then when Winter calls

her icy breath will chill

will my tears be frozen ?

I await the seasons

as markers of time

when the earth takes

her breath

and releases
